User Guidelines
These are the official user guidelines for www.RateFA.com and is a part of, and an Additional Terms under, our Terms of Use Agreement. Comments and rating should only be posted by clients who have had professional experience with the financial advisor.
Please review the following guidelines before posting on the website:
DO NOT:
- Include any piece of identifiable information for you advisor that would allow someone to contact the advisor outside of his/her office. This also includes remarks about the advisor's family and/or personal life;
- State your opinion as fact;
- Post a rating if you have not had any professional experience with the advisor;
- Reference existing comments;
- Rate yourself or other advisors, if you are an advisor;
- Speak on behalf of other people;
DO:
- Be honest and objective in your assessment of an advisor;
- Limit your comments to an advisor's professional abilities;
- Refer to the "rating categories" to help you better elaborate your comments;
- Remember that negative comments that still offer constructive criticism are helpful. Comments that bash an advisor on a personal level are not.
The Site reserves the right to remove any comments will be deemed inappropriate, libelous, defamatory, indecent, vulgar or obscene, pornographic, sexually explicit or sexually suggestive, racially, culturally, or ethnically offensive, harmful, harassing, intimidating, threatening, hateful, objectionable, discriminatory, or abusive, or which may or may not appear to impersonate anyone else or that otherwise violate the Terms of Use Agreement.
COMMENTS THAT CONTAIN THE FOLLOWING WILL BE REMOVED:
- Profanity, name-calling, and/or vulgarity, derogatory remarks about religion, ethnicity or race, physical appearance, mental and/or physical disabilities;
- References to a advisor's sex life, including sexual innuendos;
- Claims that an advisor engages or has engaged in illegal activities;
The "Do Not" section of these Site Guidelines will be strictly enforced and the Site reserves all rights to delete or otherwise take appropriate action regarding any violations
The Site reserves the right to delete, provide to authorities or otherwise take appropriate action regarding comments that threaten violence or bodily harm to another user or advisor including, but not limited to, notifying the authorities of your IP address and the time you rated and taking any action as described in the Terms of Use Agreement and Privacy Policy.
